Assessment and feedback structure
Set up an assessment and feedback structure
In coordination with the relevant stakeholders you have to decide on the type and the internal differentiation of assessment procedures and instruments.
Ideally, an assessment follows the concept of the self-contained or complete action.
Phases of self-contained learning
See: Ausbildernetz (in German)
- Authenticity:
The tasks set for the student are derived from occupational workaday reality and represent at the same time the essential requirements of the learning unit.
- Completeness:
The assessment relates to all elements of the learning unit and covers the competency dimensions knowledge, skills and competences. The assessment therefore has theoretical and a practical
elements.
- Due consideration for all learning venues:
The assessment takes into account learning outcomes achieved at the workplace as well as those achieved at vocational college. (This applies only to the final assessment of a unit.)
- Time frame:
To ensure comparability of assessment results a certain time span has to be defined for scheduling the assessment.
- Efficiency:
The competency assessment should make use of efficient and economical procedures.
